Football Recap: Whitmer Starts Season with Win Against Dublin Coffman

Whitmer had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 30-0 win over the Dublin Coffman Shamrocks. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Shamrocks on Friday, too.

Jamon Holmes was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 79 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Waddell, who picked up 86 receiving yards and one score.

Another reason for the win was Whitmer's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Dublin Coffman's QB won't forget Zack Aubry anytime soon given he sacked him three times.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Whitmer will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on King at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dublin Coffman, they will square off against Miamisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
