Soccer Recap: Slidell Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Slidell can now relate to. They came up short against St. Mary's Dominican on Thursday, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Slidell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 77th, while St. Mary's Dominican are ranked second).

Slidell is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10-2. As for St. Mary's Dominican, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-0-5.

Slidell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Mary's Dominican, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Fontainebleau on the 11th.
