Soccer Game Preview: Texas vs. Tyler

Texas is 0-6-1 against Tyler since February of 2023 but things could change on Friday. The Tigers will host the Lions at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Texas managed to slip by Nacogdoches the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers lost 4-0 to the Dragons on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Texas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 521st, while Nacogdoches are ranked 79th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Tyler faced off against Hallsville on Tuesday. The Lions fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 3-2.

Texas' loss dropped their record down to 2-11-2. As for Tyler, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5-1.
