Carver Vo-Tech extends home winning streak to 14

Recap: Carver Vo-Tech Bears vs. Southwestern Sabers

The Carver Vo-Tech Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 80-15 win over Southwestern at home. The result was nothing new for Carver Vo-Tech, who have now won five contests by 32 points or more so far this season.

Carver Vo-Tech was led to victory by Desmond Handon and Kaiden Matthews. Handon scored 15 points along with six assists, while Matthews scored 12 points along with seven steals and five assists. Handon continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. David Ross was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Carver Vo-Tech's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 45.14 points. As for Southwestern, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carver Vo-Tech will challenge Archbishop Curley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Southwestern won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Chesapeake Science Point at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. Chesapeake Science Point has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 4.
