Basketball Recap: Fairview Drops Highest Score of Season Against Hillman

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mio-Au Sable, Fairview was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They snuck past the Hillman Tigers with a 69-65 victory. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Loss or not, Hillman got some senior leadership from Cuyler Schultz and Brenden Rouleau. Schultz went 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points along with seven boards and six assists, while Rouleau went 7 for 16 en route to 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schultz has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Aedan Tucker, who posted seven points and six steals.

Fairview's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Hillman, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-5.

Fairview will host Posen at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hillman, they will challenge Mio-Au Sable at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hillman is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.3 points per game this season.
