Softball Recap: Orange Beach Wins Going Away Against Jackson

Orange Beach extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Jackson. They put the hurt on the Aggies with a sharp 13-1 victory. The Makos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 31 matchups by six runs or more this season.

KG Favors made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Ava Hodo was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Daigle Wilson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Orange Beach was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in 12 consecutive contests.

Orange Beach's win bumped their record up to 40-2. As for Jackson, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 27-8 record.

Orange Beach has already played their next game, a 14-0 victory against Ashford on the 6th. As for Jackson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 4-3 win against Straughn on the 6th.
