Basketball Recap: Blackville-Hilda Fighting Hawks vs. North Eagles

Blackville-Hilda lost against North back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blackville-Hilda Fighting Hawks fell 71-61 to the North Eagles. The Fighting Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Blackville-Hilda still got an impressive performance from Jamarien Kirkland, who went 12 for 17 on his way to 25 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Kirkland is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Messiah McFadden, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds.

North was led to victory by Stetson Stacks and Ashton Jamison. Stacks dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 boards, while Jamison went 7 of 10 on his way to 20 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Felder, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Blackville-Hilda will host Calhoun County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for North, they will head out to challenge Ridge Spring-Monetta at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
