Softball Recap: Apollo Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

While Apollo put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Owensboro Catholic. The Eagles walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Aces. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on four straight.

Mollie Julian made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted over her last six matchups. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Julian wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Hall, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Another was Liza Page, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Apollo's victory bumped their record up to 23-12. As for Owensboro Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-14.

As of now, neither Apollo nor the Aces have any future games scheduled.
