Christian Brothers waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They took down the Lausanne Collegiate Lynx 64-47. Given the Purple Wave's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Lynx are ranked 167th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Lausanne Collegiate had strong showings from Zuri Mcclure, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 14 points, and Marion Brewer, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points and six boards. Those six rebounds gave Brewer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cailan Jackson, who posted six points.

Christian Brothers is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game. As for Lausanne Collegiate, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Brothers will face off against Memphis Home Education Association at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th. As for Lausanne Collegiate, they will take on First Assembly Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. First Assembly Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
