Baseball Game Preview: Havelock Rams vs. Jacksonville Cardinals

Havelock hasn't had much luck against Jacksonville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Havelock Rams will venture away from home to face off against the Jacksonville Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Havelock has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Havelock lost 11-1 to Dixon on Friday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Havelock saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Champion, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2. Those stolen bases marked the first that Champion snagged this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Jacksonville was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They came up short against New Bern, falling 11-1. The Cardinals have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Havelock's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Jacksonville, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Havelock beat Jacksonville 5-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Does Havelock have another victory up their sleeve, or will Jacksonville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
