Basketball Recap: Climax Springs Takes a Loss

Climax Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 40-21 bruising from the Appleton City Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 195th).

Climax Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Appleton City, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Climax Springs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 69-33 loss against Richland on the 4th. Appleton City has also already played their next contest, a 50-14 defeat against Liberal on the 4th.
