Volleyball Game Preview: North Polk Comets vs. Ankeny Centennial Jaguars

North Polk hasn't had much luck against Ankeny Centennial recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Comets will face off against the Jaguars at 1:00 p.m. North Polk is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

North Polk had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Carroll last Tuesday. The Comets put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Ankeny Centennial was able to grind out a solid win over Ottumwa on Saturday, taking the game 2-0.

Ankeny Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 20-4. As for North Polk, their win bumped their record up to 14-11.

North Polk couldn't quite get it done against Ankeny Centennial in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Comets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
