Football Recap: Hunter Takes a Loss

Hunter came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were outmatched by the Copper Hills Grizzlies and fell 43-13. The Wolverines were down 28-7 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Although Hunter took the loss, they still got scores from Isi Moungaafi and Abbas Aweis.

Copper Hills' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tija Tate, who rushed for 80 yards and one TD, and also picked up 45 receiving yards and one score. Logan Batt was another key pass catcher, picking up 117 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Hunter now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Copper Hills, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hunter will head out to face off against West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Wolverines' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Copper Hills, they will challenge Layton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
