Cedar Catholic is 8-2 against O'Neill since December of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Cedar Catholic Trojans will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against the O'Neill Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Saturday, Cedar Catholic ended up a good deal behind Roncalli Catholic and lost 56-37.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when O'Neill duked it out withElkhorn Valley on Thursday. O'Neill took a 58-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elkhorn Valley. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

Cedar Catholic will have to keep a close watch on Turner Heiss and Trevor Alder, a pair of players who had a big impact on O'Neill's prior game. Heiss posted 12 points, while Alder went 5 of 12 on his way to 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Eichelberger, who put up four points and three steals.

O'Neill's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Cedar Catholic, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1.

Cedar Catholic strolled past O'Neill in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 47-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cedar Catholic since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
