Preview: Austin Panthers vs. Bowie Bears
Austin and Bowie are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Austin Panthers will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bowie Bears at 7:30 p.m. Austin will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Last Friday, Austin strolled past Harmony Science Academy with points to spare, taking the game 40-22.
Bowie has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They enjoyed a cozy 45-27 win over Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy on Tuesday. 45 seems to be a good number for Bowie as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Austin has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-13 record this season. As for Bowie, their win bumped their record up to 5-14.
Austin came out on top in a nail-biter against Bowie when the teams last played on January 5th, sneaking past 36-33. Will Austin repeat their success, or does Bowie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
