Volleyball Recap: Sioux Valley Gets the Win

Sioux Valley posted their closest victory since November 22, 2024 on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past Iroquois/Lake Preston 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Cossacks in their matchups with Iroquois/Lake Preston: they've now won four in a row.

Sioux Valley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-23, 25-18.

Sioux Valley's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Iroquois/Lake Preston, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Sioux Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Arlington on the 20th. As for Iroquois/Lake Preston, they will take on Hitchcock-Tulare at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
