Football Game Preview: Gordon Lee Trojans vs. Coosa Eagles + How To Watch

The Gordon Lee Trojans will head out to square off against the Coosa Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gordon Lee knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Coosa likes a good challenge.

Gordon Lee is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Gordon Central: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Trojans blew the Warriors out of the water with a 48-13 final score. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Among those leading the charge was Dustin Day, who threw for 78 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score.

Gordon Lee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 333 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 152 rushing yards in 18 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Gordon Lee's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Coosa, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-6.

Everything came up roses for Gordon Lee against Coosa when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-14 win. In that matchup, the Trojans amassed a halftime lead of 28-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
