Basketball Game Preview: Laguna Beach Breakers vs. St. Margaret's Tartans

Laguna Beach is on a four-game streak of home losses, St. Margaret a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. The Laguna Beach Breakers will welcome the St. Margaret's Tartans at 7:00 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Laguna Beach came up short against Irvine and fell 64-54. While losing is never fun, the Breakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 691st, while the Vaqueros are ranked 112th).

Meanwhile, St. Margaret's came into Tuesday's matchup having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 70-64 W over Portola on Tuesday.

Laguna Beach's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for St. Margaret's, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 8-14.
