The Centennial Bulldogs will square off against the Liberty Patriots at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Centennial is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Bishop Gorman, who was ranked 13th at the time (Centennial was ranked fifth). The Bulldogs skirted past the Gaels 6-5. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Gaels: they've now won four in a row.

Lily Fournier tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over 6.2 innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Amanda Campos-Colon, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Campbell Cole was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Liberty ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past Basic 10-9. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Liberty got a massive performance out of Morgyn Vesco, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Vesco has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Danielle Luvanos, who went 4-for-5 with three runs and one double.
Liberty was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Liberty's win bumped their record up to 13-7-2. As for Centennial, their victory bumped their record up to 14-11.
Liberty's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Centennial has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Liberty, though, as they've been averaging only 2.5 strikeouts. Will Centennial keep running through batters, or will the Patriots buck the trend?
