Softball Recap: James Clemens Comes Up Short

James Clemens's tournament run continued when they took on Gibbs on Thursday. The Jets took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Jets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Makaila Lee made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaslyn Ragan, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

James Clemens' loss dropped their record down to 16-12-1. As for Gibbs, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

James Clemens didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-6 defeat against Cullman on the 3rd. As for Gibbs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-5 tie against New Hope on the 2nd.
