Basketball Recap: Avon Comes Up Short

Avon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 51-15 loss at the hands of the Norfolk County Agricultural Rams. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-7.

Despite the loss, Avon still got an impressive performance from Uwa Idada, who posted six points along with seven boards and five blocks. Idada is crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least four every time she's taken the court this season. Arie Parkman was another key player, putting up four points.

Avon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Norfolk County Agricultural, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Avon will challenge Upper Cape Cod RVT at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Norfolk County Agricultural, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bristol-Plymouth RVT at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
