Basketball Recap: HEARTS for Jesus Christ Takes a Loss

HEARTS for Jesus Christ was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Fuchs Mizrachi Mayhem, falling 63-33. The Guardians were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mayhem from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

HEARTS for Jesus Christ lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Haven Anthony, who went 6 for 13 on her way to 12 points and five rebounds. Anthony has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Carenna Lewis was another key player, putting up four points and 13 rebounds.

HEARTS for Jesus Christ now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Fuchs Mizrachi, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. HEARTS for Jesus Christ will face off against Horizon Science Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Fuchs Mizrachi, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Garfield Heights at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th.
