Softball Game Preview: Ironwood Eagles vs. Sunrise Mountain Mustangs

Ironwood hasn't had much luck against Sunrise Mountain recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eagles will host the Mustangs at 3:45 p.m. Ironwood has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Tuesday, Ironwood didn't have quite enough to beat Sunrise Mountain and fell 20-19.

Sunrise Mountain's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Ironwood has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Sunrise Mountain, though, as they've been averaging 9.4 hits. Given Ironwood's sizable advantage in that area, the Mustangs will need to find a way to close that gap.
