The Keene Central Beavers will take on the Seton Catholic Central Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Keene Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Crown Point by a score of 73-64 on Thursday. The score was all tied up 39-39 at the break, but the Beavers were the better team in the second half.

Vann Morrelli and Peter Robjent were among the main playmakers for Keene Central as the former dropped a double-double on 29 points and 13 rebounds and the latter dropped a triple-double on 20 points, 11 boards, and ten assists. With that strong performance, Morrelli is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonny Caito, who posted 11 points and five boards.
Keene Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Seton Catholic Central fought the good fight in their overtime game against Schroon Lake on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 64-61. The Knights were up 19-5 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.
Keene Central will have to contain Michael Mannix as he made an impact in Seton Catholic Central's last game. He had 29 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. That was a full 47.5% of Seton Catholic Central's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Evan Waldron was another key player, putting up six points and seven boards.
Keene Central's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Seton Catholic Central, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-4 record.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Keene Central hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 56.7 points per game. However, it's not like Seton Catholic Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 56.4 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Keene Central didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Seton Catholic Central when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 60-56 victory.
