Baseball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Jackson's 15th in Last 16 Outings

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Thursday as neither Jackson nor Walker made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Jaguars never let the Wolverines get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory.

The result came thanks to Marcus Blash's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jackson let Tyler Dunn and Seth Geter run wild. Dunn went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Geter went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Dunn has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Maceo White, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Jackson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Walker, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-15.

As of now, neither Jackson nor the Wolverines have any future games scheduled.
