Soccer Recap: Laurel Comes Up Short

Laurel lost against Vancleave back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Laurel Golden Tornadoes fell just short of the Vancleave Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. The Golden Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Laurel's loss dropped their record down to 9-8-2. As for Vancleave, with the victory, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laurel and North Forrest will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Vancleave, they will be home for the holidays to greet East Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vancleave's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
