Basketball Recap: Lightridge Takes a Loss

Lightridge lost against Independence back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lightridge Bolts lost 78-53 to Independence. The Bolts just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Among those leading the charge was Mason Ogburn, who went 7 for 15 on his way to 16 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Ratliff, who went 5 of 6 en route to 14 points.

Lightridge's record is now 3-14. As for Independence, their record now sits at 5-14.

Lightridge will welcome Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Riverside will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Lightridge surely won't give up without a fight. Independence has already played their next contest (against Stone Bridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
