Baseball Recap: Owosso Takes a Loss

Owosso and Williamston squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Owosso had to settle for second. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 18-4. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Owosso's defeat dropped their record down to 22-12. As for Williamston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-5 record this season.

Owosso does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Williamston, they will take on Grand Ledge in a tournament on Monday. The Comets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
