Basketball Recap: Lincoln County Comes Up Short

Lincoln County and Needles squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Lincoln County had to settle for second. They came up short against the Needles Mustangs, falling 48-25. The Lynx haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Needles was led to victory by Isabella Harvey and Gisele Burns. Harvey dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Burns to rack up 16 points and three steals. That's the most boards Harvey has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Collier, who put up eight points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Lincoln County's loss dropped their record down to 21-10. As for Needles, the victory (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 25-3.

As of now, neither Lincoln County nor Needles have any future games scheduled.
