Volleyball Recap: Sycamore Starts Season with Victory Against Walnut Hills

Sycamore took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Walnut Hills Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Aviators, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-12, 25-12.

Sycamore was led to victory by Caroline Shomo and Lainey Tilton. Shomo had ten digs and one block, while Tilton had ten digs and two assists. Those two assists gave Tilton a new career-high.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sycamore is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Talawanda at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Walnut Hills, they will challenge Turpin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
