Baseball Recap: Santaluces Chiefs vs. Leonard Lancers
Santaluces can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Leonard Lancers with a sharp 10-1 victory. Winning may never get old, but Santaluces sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Samir Hurtado made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). Hurtado was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Matthew Martinez, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and a triple. Another player making a difference was Konner Sheehan, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
