 In what's become a running theme this season, Taft gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Sheridan Spartans  an   18-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but Taft sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
  Zack Hankins and  Armando Fajardo made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound,  Hankins   tossed  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Fajardo   pitched  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Hankins has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive pitching appearances. At bat,  Hankins  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 4-for-5, while  Fajardo  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 In other pitching news,  Logan Lovell looked comfortable as he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 Back at the plate,  Evan Halferty was a standout: he scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Justice Kelso, who  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI and a  double.
 Taft has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record  this season. As for Sheridan, they dropped their record down to 0-13 with that  defeat, which was their 17th straight  at home dating back to last season.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Taft beat Sheridan by a score of  18-0.
