Vista PEAK Prep won the last time they faced Denver North and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bison put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Bison as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-10, 25-19.

Emily Peterson paced Vista PEAK Prep's offense, picking up ten kills. Peterson got some help from Ava Eltzroth and her 19 assists. Eltzroth also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jaici Simmons, each putting up three.

Vista PEAK Prep's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Denver North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Vista PEAK Prep will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on KIPP Denver Collegiate at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Denver North, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Arapahoe on the 10th.
