Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Sumter County

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Wednesday. Sumter County narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Chattahoochee County 2-1. Winning may never get old, but Sumter County sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (63-58) Sumter County actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 16-25, 16-14.

Sumter County's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Chattahoochee County, their loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8.

Coming up, Sumter County will square off against Spencer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chattahoochee County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Calhoun County on the 25th.
