Basketball Game Preview: Texline Tornadoes vs. Wildorado Mustangs

Texline is 2-8 against Wildorado since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Texline Tornadoes will host the Wildorado Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Texline knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Wildorado likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, Texline humbled Adrian with a 55-23 victory. The Tornadoes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Wildorado was able to grind out a solid victory over Pringle-Morse last Tuesday, taking the game 49-42. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Texline has also been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.1 points per game. As for Wildorado, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Everything came up roses for Texline against Wildorado in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 52-12 victory. Will Texline repeat their success, or does Wildorado have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
