Nate Lawton was a major factor in South Hunterdon's victory over Linden on Tuesday. Lawton didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because South Hunterdon is 5-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Lawton and South Hunterdon will challenge Palmyra at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers swept Pennsauken Tech off the field in their last game, a feat they'll no doubt try to repeat.
