Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for North Forsyth

McMichael came into Friday's contest looking for another win against North Forsyth, but Jylyia Mizell wouldn't allow it. In a tight match that could have gone either way, the North Forsyth Vikings made off with a 49-48 win over the McMichael Phoenix thanks in part to Mizell, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of North Forsyth's points.

Damiyah Foster was another key player, putting up 14 points and three steals. Those 14 points gave her a new career-high.

The victory (which was North Forsyth's third in a row) raised their record to 8-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for McMichael, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

North Forsyth has already played their next game, a 58-31 win against Morehead on the 22nd. As for McMichael, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-36 defeat against College Prep & Leadership Academy on the 18th.
