Football Game Recap: Archbishop Rummel vs. Riverside Academy

Archbishop Rummel won the last time they faced Riverside Academy, and things went their way on Friday, too. Archbishop Rummel narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Riverside Academy 37-34. The margin of victory was a little narrower than expected seeing as Archbishop Rummel are ranked 106 places ahead of Riverside Academy in the state rankings.

Archbishop Rummel took a little while to warm up, but they followed up a slow first quarter with 14 points in the second. Riverside Academy put up 14, so the score was 20-14 at the half. Archbishop Rummel almost let the contest get away from them in the second half, but they had just enough oomph to take it. The victory bumped their record up to 2-1. Riverside Academy are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3.

Archbishop Rummel will look to defend their home turf next week against Teurlings Catholic at 7:00 PM. Riverside Academy will have some time to rest before their next game, which is against De La Salle in two weeks at 7:00 PM.
