Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Lakeview

Lakeview got themselves on the board against Jamestown on Monday, but Jamestown never followed suit. They blew past the Mighty Muskies 10-0. The win was familiar territory for the Sailors, who have now won three games in a row.

Parker Montgomery made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Montgomery was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Maddox Meyer was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Reynolds, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Lakeview lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Lakeview's record now sits at 3-1. As for Jamestown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Lakeview didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-6 victory against Cochranton on the 8th. As for Jamestown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-1 loss against Cambridge Springs on the 8th.
