Basketball Recap: Valley Regional Takes a Loss

Valley Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Cromwell Panthers, falling 42-22. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-6.

Cromwell found their leader in sophomore Peyton Kelleher, who went 5 of 10 to rack up 15 points and three steals. Kelleher's evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Chloe Crawford, who posted six points and seven rebounds.

Valley Regional's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Cromwell, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

Valley Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cromwell, they will challenge North Branford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
