After a string of five wins dating back to last season, Heritage Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They lost 11-1 to the West Ranch Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Warriors couldn't push the score so high this time.

Heritage Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Akins, who got a hit.

Even though they lost, Heritage Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of 2.000. Their OBP was a full 1 higher than the also-impressive .536 that West Ranch posted.

Having lost for the first time this season, Heritage Christian fell to 4-1. As for West Ranch, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 2-5 record.

Heritage Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-1 win against Calabasas on the 10th. As for West Ranch, they have also already played their next game, a 6-5 victory against Birmingham on the 8th.
