Jefferson City waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Hickman Kewpies 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Jays have posted against the Kewpies since April 6, 2019.

Jefferson City's victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Hickman, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson City will face off against Rolla at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hickman, they will head out to take on Hannibal at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
