Soccer Game Preview: Rockwood vs. Roane County

The Rockwood Tigers will take on the Roane County Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rockwood is coming into the game on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight victories. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Harriman on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Roane County waltzed into their match on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bobcats a 7-0 shutout. Considering Roane County have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Roane County's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Rockwood, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.
