Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Cross Keys

Cross Keys won the last time they faced Fulton Science Academy, and Nicole Resendiz did her part to make sure it happened again. The Cross Keys Phoenix came out on top against the Fulton Science Academy Mustangs by a score of 29-19 on Tuesday thanks in part to Resendiz, who posted four points in addition to six steals and three blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Michell Ramirez, who earned six points and 11 boards. Those 11 rebounds gave her a new career-high.

The victory made it two in a row for Cross Keys and bumps their season record up to 10-9. As for Fulton Science Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Cross Keys won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Excel Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fulton Science Academy, they are taking a road trip to take on Dominion Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
