After a string of five wins, Haverling's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against the Hornell Red Raiders, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Haverling can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Hornell are ranked 35th).

Haverling's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Hornell, their win bumped their record up to 10-0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Haverling will challenge Letchworth at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hornell, they will take on Caledonia-Mumford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
