Spring had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Eisenhower Eagles by a score of 4-1. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Carson Culbertson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Spring's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Austin Wilkerson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Wilkerson launched this season.

Spring pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Eisenhower, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Spring will have a chance to go back-to-back against Eisenhower: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
