Volleyball Recap: Linn's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Linn had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came out on top against the Republic County Buffaloes by a score of 2-0. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Buffaloes, too.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Linn was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15.

Gretchen Bott paced Linn's offense, picking up 12 kills. Bott really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 17. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Linn's victory bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Republic County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-18.

Coincidentally, Linn and Republic County will both be playing Washington County the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Tigers at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, while the Buffaloes will play them later in the day, at 2:45 p.m.
