Mankato East came tearing into Thursday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mayo Spartans. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Mankato East's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Mayo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Mankato East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Dassel-Cokato on the 27th. As for Mayo, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Faribault at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
