Softball Recap: Crooksville Comes Up Short

Crooksville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 9-4 to the Sheridan Generals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ceramics of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Dalena Rollison made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Maelee Collins also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Crooksville's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Sheridan, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Looking ahead, Crooksville will challenge Coshocton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sheridan, they will head out on the road to square off against Wheelersburg at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Generals surely won't give up without a fight.
