Football Recap: Richland Northeast Comes Up Short

Richland Northeast was the 36-32 winner over Crestwood when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cavaliers came up short against the Knights on Friday, falling 35-13. While the Cavaliers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Knights 6-0 in the first quarter.

Calvin Wofford went supernova For Crestwood., rushing for 275 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. Wofford really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.

Richland Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Crestwood, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richland Northeast will head out to square off against Westwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Crestwood, they will challenge Kingstree at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
